I painted Angels 3 to feel like a visitation—two attendants of light stepping forward from a midnight field. The faces are simplified and glowing so the presence, not the portrait, carries the moment. Blues and violets create a hush; a small stroke of white suggests a messenger’s hand, a sign, or a blessing. I aimed for comfort and assurance rather than spectacle: quiet guardianship in the room.
