Artwork Statement

A small flame holds the room. In Presence, I painted a column of light rising from calm water while a soft cross emerges in the field behind it—warm saffron and ember tones moving through midnight indigo and violet. Vertical strokes read like a curtain or rain, so the scene feels both sheltered and alive. The piece is about prayer, stillness, and the nearness of God’s presence in ordinary spaces.
