Summary
Anne Reid’s Transfiguration renders a luminous ascent through fields of crimson, orange, and rose, where archetypal figures move toward a radiant meeting in light. The work bridges sacred narrative and universal transformation, offering a contemplative atmosphere that suits homes, hospitality settings, and worship spaces alike.
Artwork Statement
I painted this piece as a passage from shadow into Presence. The warm ground—crimson into ember—carries our human footing; the light opens like a veil. Two ethereal figures appear in the glow while witnesses stand along the path. Whether you read it as the biblical moment on the mountain or as a personal awakening, the invitation is the same: draw near to the light.
Color & Mood
- Crimson, magenta, vermilion → rising warmth and courage
- Peach, blush, pearl white → revelation and serenity
- Cool blue figures → calm counterpoint within the glow
- Overall mood: contemplative, hopeful, quietly radiant
Design Notes
- Soft atmospheric transitions for a mist-through-light effect
- Diagonal procession leads the eye toward the luminous apex
- Generous breathing space at right for modern, minimal interiors
- Works beautifully as a statement piece or paired in a triptych wall

Artist reflection
Fire becomes pathway,
footsteps turn to light.
We look, we listen—
a voice in shimmering air.
What was hidden opens,
and the heart understands.
Scripture (shortened)
